The 2024 MLB season is in the rear view mirror but there is one last award to hand out: the American and National League MVP.
A individual award for excellence throughout the regular season, it is given to the players who were at their greatest, driving their teams to victories and compiling historic resumes along the way.
This year, Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge were extraordinary, but will voters see it the same way, voting for them to pick up another MVP award?
And what do the odds makers think?
Find out with this look at the odds and Prediction for each of the league awards.

NL Prediction
Never before has a designated hitter won the MVP award in either league. That will change in 2024 when Shohei Ohtani is named the most valuable player in the National League, thanks to an unprecedented season that saw him hit 54 home runs and steal 59 bases.
He also collected 197 hits and drove in 130 RBI.
It was another historically great season for a player many consider to be the best of his generation.
While some will argue that he did not play defense and thus, should not be considered over someone like Francisco Lindor, who was excellent in every phase and the leader of a Mets team that fought back from the brink to make the NLCS, what Ohtani accomplished has never been done in the long history of Major League Baseball.
That he is already beloved by fans, writers, analysts, and historians alike only helps to bolster his case.
He will win the NL MVP and while it will not be unanimous, it will not be close, either.
Prediction: Ohtani
AL Prediction
Another year, another home run derby-esque season for Aaron Judge.
The New York Yankees captain blasted 58 home runs, drove in 144 RBI, collected 180 hits, and hit for the highest average of his career (.322) in 2024.
It was a banner season that took a bit to get going early but once it did, he raced away from the likes of Witt Jr., Henderson, and teammate Soto, ensuring the only thing they were competing for was second place.
Judge not only further cemented his status as one of the greatest power hitters of his generation, but he did so as one of the lone sources of offense for a Yankees team that went as he did.
He was the nucleus, the guy around whom the Yankees offense revolved. If he had a bad game and did not hit, they did not, as evidenced in a World Series that saw the Bronx Bombers bats go quiet.
Still, it is an individual award based on regular season play and one would be hard-pressed to find anyone who meant as much to his team from March through October as Judge did.
Unlike Ohtani, who is going to face criticism for being a DH, Judge may very well win his MVP unanimously, with Witt being such as distant second.
Prediction: Judge, unanimously
